I was going to do this, too--post a first and last day photo. But, the last day photo looks goofy. He looks... odd? I don't know. Anyway, the lighting was yucky, we were inside, he was posing funny... So, it never happened.
But, all that to say, great minds think alike! And, your kid takes better pictures than mine. Or something like that. :-)
It's amazing how much they grow and change in one year. Especially that kindergarten year, I think!
Ohhh, do it anyway!! It will be hilarious when he is 16!
And I'm not so sure about my children taking better pictures. Their mother is just a freak and takes picture after picture until I get one that is somewhat decent. I'm sure that they will revolt when they turn 10.
